Work with us:
Bookselling vacancies:
We don't currently have any vacancies available at the bookshop.
If you wish us to have your CV on file, you may send us your CV and a cover letter explaining why you are interested in working with us, what your experience is, and what your availability is (i.e. are there days that you are not available for work?),
Please send any enquiries to Michael Cubey, Operations Director
Please email these to Michael here.
Please note that we don't consider any applications without previous bookshop or bookselling experience, and we don't offer any unpaid internships, as we don't believe in them, and we don't have the capacity to offer work experience.

Continuing tradition…and keeping London in books
There has been a book shop at 56 Charing Cross since the 1920s, if not earlier.
56 Charing Cross Road in the 1920s, when the shop was owned by the folklorist AH Mayhew. The entrance, lighting, signs and staff attire have changed since then, but we still have our shelves of books outside the shop.
