You can buy online, but it is a lot more fun to do so in the shop. We have new stock going out daily. So if you didn't find what you were looking for last time, you might get lucky next time. You are very welcome to browse for as long as you want. Warning: book buying can be addictive

Accessibility:
The bookshop is on two levels and there are stairs, but no lift, to access the lower ground floor. There is a small ramp providing step free wheelchair access from pavement level up one single step to the ground floor of the shop.

We are happy to search for books for customers who may have difficulty accessing all parts of the shop due to disabilities. Please do ask us and we would welcome feedback on how we can improve the environment of the shop to make it more accessible.
If travelling by underground, Tottenham Court Road station has level access and lifts to platforms, but Leicester Square does not. (Covent Garden station has lifts but is not step free). See the Transport for London website for more information on step free access.

Bookshop browsing in a post pandemic world:
Stacks Image 490
Since the onset of the Covid pandemic we've taken great care to try and make the bookshop a safe (as practically possible) workplace for our staff and a safe shopping environment for all our customers.
Our key mitigations continue to be ventilation and air quality.

We added mechanical ventilation to the downstairs rooms and to the back of the ground floor shop area, as well as keeping the front door open as much as possible to reduce the risk from airborne Covid aerosols. We have invested in HEPA filter air purifiers to assist in air changes when the ventilation is not enough.

We monitor air quality with CO2 sensor and adjust purifiers accordingly throughout the day. The first hour of the day (11.30 to 12.30) is often the quietest time to visit. Generally, except when the shop is very busy, our CO2 levels are in the safe 'green' levels, going into 'amber' when the lower rooms get busier.
Ventilation mitigates but does not completely remove risk of airborne diseases, so customers should consider wearing face masks for additional protection especially when the shop gets busy.

"London is filled with charming buildings, but Any Amount of Books is easily one of my favourite second-hand books stores in the universe. I love it to the moon and back."
